My wife and I had Eugene capture our ROM lunch and the photos came out incredible! Photos really captured raw emotions of everyone present and we couldn’t have asked for a better photographer. Eugene was very patient and accommodative, from the planning to the execution. We never felt pressured to do anything we weren’t comfortable to do. If anyone is looking for a photographer who can capture emotions purely, definitely give Bottled Groove a try!

We first heard of Bottled Groove through a friend, and his portfolio- especially the ones taken at Minjiang- was exactly what we were looking for- beautiful photos that were unique, documentary style and not overly posey. Eugene made us feel comfortable right from the first zoom meeting and it felt like we were talking to a long time friend. On the day of the wedding, we were pleasantly surprised when he brought Sean, which meant that we received more behind the scenes photos than we bargained for!! Throughout the day, both Eugene and Sean not only managed to capture every important moment and the usual family/group shots, there were several candid photos of us and our guests which captured the BTS and their interactions beautifully. Eugene was clearly a pro at capturing Minjiang at its finest and bringing all my florals and decor to justice hehe. The preview photos were returned at lightning speed in less than 24 hours and they were soo good. Several friends commented on how nice and non posey the candid photos were! When we first started looking for a wedding photographer, we had just one main criterion - we didn’t want our photos to feel awkward, overly posed or cringey. We wanted someone who could capture the most authentic versions of us and all the genuine moments of the day. We remembered that our cousin had engaged Bottled Groove Photography for their wedding, so we started browsing through their Instagram and website. That was when Eugene’s profile and portfolio immediately stood out to us. We loved his style so much that we engaged him as early as July 2025 for our September 2026 wedding! For the longest time, we were also debating whether we should engage a videographer, mainly because our parents felt that having videos would be a nice way to remember the day. But after following Eugene’s work from July 2025 to August 2026, we became so confident in his ability to capture moments and tell a story through photographs that we eventually decided we didn’t need one. We even told the elders to trust us that this photographer will capture the day in a way that you won’t feel like you’re missing out without a videographer. And true enough, Eugene became such a big part of our wedding day. From the moment he arrived, he made the effort to learn everyone’s names, even the names of all the kids in the house, hahaha. He was incredibly friendly and approachable, and throughout the day, he gave us clear directions whenever we needed them while still allowing everything to feel natural and effortless. His calmness and experience also gave us so much assurance that we could simply enjoy the day and trust him to capture it. We received a few preview photos on the very night of our wedding, and the moment we saw them, we knew we had chosen the right photographer. They were exactly what we had hoped for - genuine, natural and full of the emotions of the day. Even our bridal party couldn’t stop praising Eugene for his professionalism and how great he was to work with. We engaged Eugene for photographing our intimate solemnisation and we had such a great time and can’t recommend him enough! I engaged Eugene almost immediately after I got proposed to (nearly 2 years before our actual wedding), because I was so in awe of his work and the essence of the people/events he captures. Eugene was so easy to talk to, and we clicked so quickly and knew we were in good hands. Finally after the 2 year wait - our wedding day arrived and having Eugene with us through the day was one of the best decisions we made. He made the both of us feel so comfortable from the get go, and it truly felt like he was one of our long time friends who we asked to help shoot for our big day. We've only seen sneaks as our wedding was only 2 weeks ago, but the handful we've seen so far are so beautiful!
